Political motivation
Today’s edition of The Nassau Guardian quotes the Prime Minister suggesting that the “We March Bahamas” event was politically motivated.
Means to an end
“By hook or by crook” is an old saying that portends that any means necessary will be deployed to accomplish a certain end.
Saying a farewell to Fidel Castro

Sandals and the law
Off West Bay parking around Sandals Royal Bahamian Hotel- tried to park to collect my mail from the Post Office at Cable Beach impossible - the staff told me - Sandals Grand Opening these are their employees! The Post Office parking area is Government property so our access has to be guaranteed.
Moment in time
The recent politically-based march and demonstration clearly unmasked the ‘hidden hands’ hell bent on the destabilisation of the Gold Rush Administration.
When will police reservists be paid?
AS a reservist in New Providence, I am retired and work as a police reservist.
Travel advisories from the US
US Embassy Travel warnings - where do the guns come from? Travel Advisories? Not as if we have notoriety for demonstrations or protest marches far from what we witness on US TV News I have to question the seeming quickness of the US Embassy in issuing Travel Advisory-warnings to US Citizens.
Incredible hypocrisy
Permit me the liberty of dispensing a bit of advice to the Leader of the Opposition.

OF course the guarantee of free demonstration must always be protected, and sensible permits must be granted.
Property tax arrears

Issues in the news
BEEN listening to one of Doc Minnis secret weapon candidates - boy he still has mother’s milk around his lips. A caller told him that his primary opponent, the current MP, has been giving out roof repair stuff - plywood etc, to all in the constituency but, sir, what have you been doing? The FNM candidates’ reply before the storm we gave out sand-bags... We are preparing a development plan!
Why I will march on Black Friday
I AM marching on Black Friday because of the outrageous situation with Bahamas Power and Light. I am marching because a power company that used to be controlled by Bahamians was put under the control of an American company that promised to do better, but delivered even more unreliable service than before.
Regulating regulator in Freeport
I GET highly upset every time I see a story in your paper’s Business Section that contains the untrue and inaccurate statement suggesting that the Grand Bahamas Port Authority (GBPA) is the regulator for electricity or telecommunications in Freeport or, of its own volition, has any regulatory powers over these utilities in Freeport.
Divine deal?

Slippery facts on oil for Brave
IT really is disturbing when a senior Minister can’t get the facts correct even when he is fudging?
