my your awfully bold behind a keyboard ,the strange thing is i think it is a shake down .i don,t think if you meet me you would be so quick with the name calling . I would ask for an apology ,if you gave one or not i would turn to leave .if your lack of control made you lay a hand on me , i would defend myself .then we could decide who rides the police car and who rides the ambulance

This is one of the most bias piece i've ever saw and both parties need to change that foolishness and take care of all the elderly and not just their own. It is one thing when you are hiring people only that vote for you, but it is another when you a discriminating against the elderly base on affiliation.

A great leader....the best of our generation. Some may not see that now, but in the next five years, they will. I wish Mr. Ingraham all the best, and this present government all the best as well in continuing the great things that Mr. Ingraham has started, and starting some great initiatives of their own.

Agreed 'concernedcitizen' - I would hate to give the PLP any joy in throwing jeers and talking foolishness about the best Prime Minister this country has ever had (Papa). As it stands now, I could only watch ZNS news in part since the election because they crowd it with constant PLP talk and foolishness. You really see now who is who in this country. Such a sad state we are in! Mayhem and foolishness is now the order of the day.

Yes, this is indeed true. Even when the Rt. Honorable Hubert A. Ingraham isn't in power, the insecurities of the PLP party linger indefinitely.
Why the PLP is still afraid of Hubert Ingraham
LOVE or hate him, honest people have to admit there is no one in Bahamian politics quite like Hubert Ingraham.

Comparing the numbers man to the drug man is a good comparison, they are all illegal, and if need be they would defend their turf. The drug man have plenty of employees also and in fact some of them donate plenty of money to churches and other charities, let's take Pablo Escobar or that dude in Jamaica that nickname "Cokes" those two as well as others in the Bahamas did a lot of good in the community, but they also did a lot of bad. So Mr. Bastian may where a suit and walk with a brief case but that doesn't seperate him, because the smart drug dealers could do the same thing and a few of them does it. If the U.S didn't want ninety he would've been in Nassau probably running for a seat by now.

Referendum aims to bring equal rights for women
While on the election campaign, back in 2002, Mr. Christie was very vocal about his opposition to the FNM's proposed referendum to the Constitution. The referendum would have eliminated the current discrimination affecting the spouses of Bahamian women. After the referendum was defeated at the polls, Mr. Christie promised, that if he were elected, he would immediately address the problem. He said he would appoint a "special" commission that would review the Constitution and propose the changes necessary, to ensure that our flawed constitution would be brought into compliance with a UN Convention on the non-discrimination against women, which the Bahamas signed way back in the early 1990's. Well, after the election, the PM did appoint the special commission, but it was comprised of political cronies and headed by the very man who installed the discriminatory verbiage in the original document. Needless to say, nothing has ever been done, and the discrimination continues to this day.

Referendum aims to bring equal rights for women
The 2002 referendum was defeated by the PLP's. I have a feeling that this so-called new referendum on Bahamian women rights will be defeated by the Bahamian people, because nobody likes to be made a fool.
pilgrimagerock 13 years, 5 months ago on ‘Farewell should not have taken precedence over House agenda’
‘Farewell should not have taken precedence over House agenda’
To say that the former Prime Minister farewell should not have taken precedence over house agenda is self-delusional wishful thinking. There is an old Chinese proverbs quote on vengeance: "He who seeks vengeance must dig two graves: one for his enemy and one for himself." The Lord says that vengeance is mine not yours.
The PLP’s set out to seek revenge on a man who many worlds’ leaders including Caricom member states have the utmost respect for and end up making a complete fool of themselves. I could understand why PLP’s dislike the former Prime Minister. He aired their dirty laundry in public by echoing berated remarks what PLP supporters will say to Mr. Christie in private. One can only imagine what our Caribbean brothers and sisters are saying about the Bahamian people, this PLP government and Mr. Christie right now. I bet you that it not good news.
