Grand Lucayan worker send-home industrial deal ‘breach’
The Trades Union Congress (TUC) president yesterday asserted he is “making all efforts” to meet with the Prime Minister in a bid to resolve the fate of Grand Lucayan workers sent home without due pay amid continued uncertainty over the resort’s sale.

INDUSTRIAL action has been pledged “in very short order” by the Trade Union Congress (TUC) - with the airport and the foot of Paradise Island bridge to be targeted.

A trade union leader says he is “satisfied we have something to go to the workers” at the Grand Lucayan with following talks with the Prime Minister over how the staff transition will be handled.
No shutdown - but health ‘crisis mode’
VOWS of a formidable, nationwide shutdown failed to materialise yesterday as most government workers reported for duty, confining the industrial action mainly to healthcare workers and some Grand Bahama teachers.
