Drugs case delayed again

THE four-year-old drug case involving a contractor and a woman, accused of possessing dangerous drugs with intent to supply, experienced another delay yesterday.

Due to the absence of police witnesses in the 2008 case and another trial in progress before Deputy Chief Magistrate Carolita Bethell involving foreign witnesses, 43-year-old Carlos Lamm who heads JFK Construction, and his co-accused, Lateisha McKenzie, will return to Magistrate’s Court on October 10.

Lamm and McKenzie, accused of having three and a half pounds of marijuana with intent to sell sometime in 2008 were present for court at 10am with their respective lawyers, Jiaram Mangra and Murrio Ducille.

Their case was not called until after 1pm due to other matters, including first-plea arraignments and an ongoing trial concerning three men on trial on similar charges.

The case was adjourned to October 10 for 2.30pm.

This the same Carlos Lamm who has been selling dope in this country from the 80's with Sean Adderley and the very same one that the minister of education gave all those government contracts to after the election. What's really going on with that? Once again the PLP right back at it. SMT
