Drug bust nets $1m of cocaine

FREEPORT - A major drug bust was made at the Freeport Container Port where nearly $1 million worth of cocaine was discovered.

This is the first major drug seizure on Grand Bahama for 2014.

According to police reports, Bahamian and US authorities made the discovery on Thursday afternoon. Inspector Terecita Pinder reported that shortly after 3pm officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit acting on information received went to the container port. The officers, along with officers of Bahamas Customs and US counterparts, discovered two black Nike duffle bags containing 45 clear plastic Ziploc bags of suspected cocaine.

Inspector Pinder said the drugs weighed in at 112 pounds. She said the estimated street value is $900,000. No arrests were made and police are investigating.

it is a good way to begin de year. in china crimes and bad people go to electric chair and family has to pay the death and funeral. we china wants the country safe and good.. so family have oportunity to grow and live in peace.
