POLICE have shut down a major housebreaking ring they believe to be responsible for a number of residential break-ins in the southwestern division of New Providence over the past three months.
However, they are still on the hunt for Tameko Williams, 30, of Ferguson Street, who they believe can assist them in their investigation.
According to reports, early Wednesday morning, Southwestern Division officers, acting on intelligence, conducted a major operation that resulted in the arrest of three adult males and the recovery of a number of stolen items including flat screen televisions, cell phones and jewelry.
Police attribute at least 20 home break-ins to this group and the value of the stolen goods is estimated to be in the thousands of dollars.
Investigations continue.

this is great news! hopefully they will be prosecuted and sent to jail and not given non-functioning ankle bracelets so that they go out and pillage again.

Best News For The Year So Far.....Hats off to RBPF for breaking this ring of jackass's.
Every family I know have been touched by property invasions.
Hopefully they can catch the other big ring of thieves rampaging the Island, breaking into peoples properties and completely wiping them out of everything and anything of value.
These guys are well prepared professional thieves that literally clean out entire homes and properties of EVERYTHING including furniture, any and all size appliances, even chickens, goats, pigs, cars, any and all heavy equipment etc....They must have a huge truck, lots of manpower and a huge demand to get rid of it all!
If these assholes had any sense they could start one hell of a moving business because they work really fast with mind boggling stealth.
Hard and sad to believe once proud Bahamians have been lowered to common criminals!

Not logical to expect anyone to be compensated. Who would you suggest be responsible to fund compensations?
However, my hope is police can also learn from interrogations who goods were sold to, track down and slap heavy fines on people that knowingly bought the stolen goods.
Seems to be another culture involved too. Bahamians have no history that I'm aware of, of completely wiping out victims of everything....chickens, ducks, pigs and goats all slaughtered right on the property and taken away?....Doesn't sound like Bahamians to me!
