DR DUANE Sands, the FNM candidate for Elizabeth, was called upon yesterday morning when one woman in a PLP shirt required medical attention as she waited to cast her vote. Several people fainted in the heat. The patient was transported to hospital and Dr Sands said he was waiting for a report on her condition. The photograph circulated on social media under the headline “No matter what colour you wear the FNM has your back!”

VOTER frustration was obvious at the advanced polling station yesterday as thousands of people waited for hours in the hot sun, with some enduring the long queues only to be turned away for various reasons.
