CHICKCHARNEY CHALLENGE

Contestants in yesterday’s Chickcharney Challenge faced an array of hurdles as they battled their way around the Clifton course. Around 70 competitors took part in the event, which was sponsored by Wendy’s, Suntee and Marco’s and raised funds for the Bahamas National Council for Disability. Among the challenges they faced were crawling through an ice pit, leaping over fire, climbing a 10ft wall, a rope climb, swiming in the sea, and crawling through barbed wire. The event is the second to be held this year by organisers. Photos: Tim Clarke/Tribune Staff
