I don't think they should be but I think our education system is at that point now. I went to an all boys school abroad and its a fact that boys act differently when girls are not around.
This won't effect much do to the multitude of other problems education faces. Let's try paying our teachers more and on time and getting parents more involved in the children's schooling.

MY opinion is we see the results of a national D and D+ over the years, heck it wouldn't hurt to try something different, It wouldn't cost them nothing, just switching schools.

It's an excellent idea. Remove the distractions from the classroom settings. It has worked well in the top private schools in the world. It would be wonderful for our local children to have the same opportunity through our government school system.
They will have plenty of time to mingle with the opposite sex outside of the classroom, but can focus on their studies. Our education system is dismal and we are in urgent need of a change, we should give this a try.
