FNM leader Dr Hubert Minnis was “caught” on camera getting off a jitney in Bay Street on Wednesday on his way to his office.
The commentary to the video proclaims Dr Minnis as having “always been perceived as a humble man with a common touch” and as “a leader who understands the plight of the common man”. In an “interview" he is reported reminding viewers that he has never forgotten his Bain Town origins and that he took the opportunity to speak and listen to the passengers on the bus, “the means of transportation that thousands of Bahamians depend on”. The passengers were said to have been “pleasantly surprised to see the leader of the opposition riding with them” and Dr Minnis was reported as saying he would take the bus again as “I enjoyed the ride”.
At the end of the one minute 20 seconds footage the voiceover quotes Jim Rohn’s inspirational words on the challenge of leadership and describes Dr Minnis as “a true leader, a humble leader and a man that makes us all proud”.
The footage is then repeated to the soundtrack of ‘We need a doctor, the country is sick, sick’.

Dr. Minnis is a full blown clown! You can't "take the bus" one time and call yourself humble.
Vice President Joe Biden rides the train daily and has always done so......THAT'S HUMBLE!

Shortpants. Why don't you be fair and speak out against all the persons who use this site to criticize against the government and private sector. The PLP is no different than the FNM. Both parties practice the same old tactics. Analog leadership in a digital world. But SP has a point. Dr. Minnis cannot see the problems the public transportation experiencing if he takes the bus one (1) time. He needs to take a !5 or !9 during school time, then he will really see what Bahamians go through.

Seems like the good opposition leader is desperate to prove himself as being a formidable challenger in the upcoming convention. My advise is be yourself. If you truly care about the welfare of this nation it will show naturally. So far I haven't seen the "run for a government post for the betterment of my people" attitude coming from any of these politicians.
