A WOMAN has drowned in a jet ski accident in New Providence.
According to police reports, shortly after 7pm on Sunday, two females were riding on a jet ski driven by a male operator off West Bay Street, when it capsized. After a few minutes in the water, the jet ski operator was able to rescue the two females and take them to shore, where one of them was pronounced dead.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

so, 3 grownups on a jet ski - hmmm...... any regulations about that? i'm assuming the jet ski operator did not check that the women could swim, and i'm wondering if they were wearing life vests.

Yeah...... some of the more modern jet skis are three seaters. Some of them are pretty big. But like you said.... why weren't they wearing life vests??? Furthermore... why do people who can't swim very well risk going in the ocean.
A friend and I once capsized our jet ski in the ocean aswell. We had to tread water for a while until we could turn the water-craft right side up.

A sensless tragedy but it was only a matter of time. This was by the dicky mo beach which is a ghetto mess every sunday.
The POLICE need to put a presence there on Sundays!!.
2 men on the beach and 2 men to control the parking as people so stupid and block each other and the cars park then on West Bay!
No governent has every dealt with the criminal rapist scum jetski operators.
I want to say my prayers to the family but i hear they stop and beat up the fella that was trying to give the girl CPR!!!! How gaddamn stupid and ignorant can you be.
