Prime Minister Dr Hubert Minnis.
PRIME Minister Dr Hubert Minnis will deliver his third and final national report for the year tonight. In his report, the prime minister will bring important updates to the public regarding land reform, environment, energy reform, general infrastructure and digital transformation and modernisation.
Particularly, his remarks will highlight major reform efforts underway to digitise and modernise government services and the implementation of a system to clear the land application backlog and restructure the application process for Crown land.
An overview of the extensive ongoing roadworks programme throughout New Providence and the rest of the country, major capital works projects, progress on the New Providence Landfill and environmental conservation initiatives also will be highlighted.
The report to the nation series is part of the government’s commitment and responsibility to provide timely, accurate, clear and complete information about its programmes, services and initiatives to citizens and residents.
The reports, aimed at providing important updates and information to the people of the Bahamas on a range of issues, will be broadcast on ZNS, REVTV, ILTV and the Jones Communications Network.
Dr Minnis’ last national report was delivered in March.

But populace shouldn't be anticipating hearing PM Minnis explain the justification for unlikes the PLP who tooks from the rich foreigners to give to the poor, it's the opposite with Imperialist red shirts, whom smiled as they tooks a whopping $1 Billion of VAT cash right out pockets poor to pay a billionaire foreigner $65 million for his left unrepaired, rundown, mostly guest-less hurricane damaged 'FREE' port hotel, yes, no.... plus costs not after being saddled hotels millions dollars in monthly operating pay but agreed to fork over another $5 million to the former the former hotel owner's workers, yes, no...... just can't make this PM up!

Minnis won't be saying anything about Red China, illegal aliens or reducing our over-sized civil workforce. Instead he's guaranteed to babble on about a lot of planned construction projects and other government spending. He certainly won't say anything about the planned significant increase in national insurance contribution amounts or the planned increase in VAT to 15%.

The corrupt Minnis-led FNM government is all about helping foreign investors capitalize on our tourism product, and to hell with the Bahamian people. And to think Minnis promised over and over again before he got re-elected in May 2017 that it would be the Bahamian people's time.
Since May 2017 Bahamians and Bahamian businesses have been taxed to death, quite literally in many instances. Businesses have been closing their doors in record numbers leaving our true unemployment rate well above 20%.
As a direct consequence of the very misdirected and/or failed social and economic policies of the corrupt Minnis-led FNM government, most Bahamian families today are unable to afford the five essentials for a civilized life: (1) a house or apartment with electricity and running water, (2) healthy food, (3) healthcare including medicines, (4) transportation, and (5) school fees, school supplies, and school uniforms for their children.
Another ten-years of corrupt governments may well be the death knell for most of Bahamian society. All but the political elite and their wealthy cronies would succumb to the perils of dire poverty with anarchy being the only option for possible change and survival. At that point though, we would have become a failed state that the U.S. and Red China will bicker over for their own self interest, mainly national security reasons in the case of the U.S. As a people, Bahamians will become marginalized and sidelined forever more, much like the Haitians are in their own country today. Truly sad that even the current government seems to have us going down the wrong road, picking up speed as we go.
