MORE than 100 Haitians were deported to Port-au-Prince yesterday.
The Department of Immigration said a Bahamasair flight departed Lynden Pindling International Airport at 8.07am to Haiti with 112 Haitians, escorted by a team of law enforcement officers.
This group included 91 males and 21 females. The immigration team was led by Denaj Wilchcombe along with officers of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.
Immigration officials did not say where the deportees were apprehended.

Why doesn't Minnis tell us how many have been deported since he became PM? I will tell you why. He was most embarassed to learn the very low total number deported over the last two and half years compared to the estimated total number of new illegal arrivals from Haiti over the same period.

Three comments:
1) These flights should be taking place daily
2) It must be done in a way that does not give the deportees any room to question the legality of the deportation or to file suits.
3) Bahamasair should stop all commercial flights to Port Au Prince other than to drop off deportees, until Haiti has a formal government.

All deportation should be done in humanely way. As far as a fear criteria,I'm human and nothing human is an alien . For heaven sake I didn't hear anybody saying anything about the fact that Americans carried to U.S.A., nearly all the dogs from Marsh Harbour,Abaco. The same dogs that usually console and accompany homeless and socially excluded ,unfortunate people who lost everything in Hurracane Dorian,the same dogs without any form of ID and were not asking anybody to go to America,they still carried them and remarkably LEFT ALL THE HAITIANS that were living and working in Abaco for so long,with children,some of them allegedly borned there and were waiting for the right opportunity to reach into American territory for better life ,unlike THE DOGS,Haitians do were asking to be moved anywhere in U.S.A. AND STILL AMERICAN CARRIED ALL THE DOGS FROM ABACO AND LEFT ALL THE HAITIANS.

Your point is very valid. Yes, the Haitian and many other peoples want to go to America for "a better life." Why is it though that ALL countries don't give their citizens "a better life"? Why is it that when you suggest to anyone in those countries that wouldn't it be nice if USA came and took over their government and just ran the country the way it would be if it was a state, that you suddenly hear all kinds of nonsense about "independence?" Why is it that when Trump labeled all these countries that people are desperately running away from as "S-Hole Countries", everyone got upset with him? Shouldn't they instead be upset with the governments of those countries? Why is it that all of the cry-baby organizations that try to protect immigrants from "poor" countries who immigrate to "rich" countries - these organization NEVER seem concerned about the living conditions in those "poor" countries. Never even talk about it.

Haitians don't want to be anywhere else in The Bahamas but N.P.,BIMINI,ABACO or GRAND BAHAMAS because the neatness of those mentioned Islands to the U.S.A. One can't talk to them about going to any other family Islands like Cat Island,Mayguana,San Salvador etc. Etc. Most of the Islands or nearly all,are full of Bush and desperately need human working hands to produce the necessary development and help the inhabitants in their persued of happiness specially young women who are compelled to go with druggy guys who later abandon the children and converting them into the large Bahamian Club of "Single Mothers". Very sad situation. Really need real leaders with real vission to solve this and so many other problems in The Bahamas.
