We're used to seeing all sorts of oddball surgical solutions on Grey's Anatomy, and by the sound of an upcoming plotline, Season 10 will be no exception. News station WXXI of Rochester, New York, reports that a local woman will have her medical saga dramatized in this week's episode — Season 10 Episode 6: Map of You. The patient, Jamie Arliss, was diagnosed with a rare heart tumor five years ago. Cardiologist Christopher Cove and neurologist Babak Jahromi — both of the University of Rochester Medical Center — devised an unconventional solution. They injected Jamie's tumor with a type of surgical superglue. And their groundbreaking treatment paid off: Christopher tells WXXI that Jamie is tumor-free and has an excellent prognosis. Once news about the procedure broke, Grey's producers contacted Christopher to get the scoop. It was exciting that it was a young, healthy patient with a life-threatening disease. There was no treatment, Christopher says. There was a kind of serendipitous meeting between two physicians doing a procedure that had never been done before. Sounds exactly like a Grey's storyline to us! Is this one of the crazier medical cases you've seen on Grey's? Let us know if you think it is or if you can think of crazier!
