The next episode of Season 9 of the CW's Supernatural will air on Tuesday night, and a promo clip for the episode shows that everyone's former favorite angel Castiel is in some dire straits. The official Supernatural Facebook page posted a 20-second clip of the episode, entitled "I'm No Angel." It begins with Cas wandering the streets with a look of confusion. Dean and Sam are in the Men of Letters' bunker discussing Castiel's new humanity.

In voiceover, Cas remarks that the hunger, cold and other human sensations are all new to him. He tries to brush his teeth by squirting toothpaste directly into his mouth and, as always, Cas doing human things is fantastic. Another shot shows him huddled up in the rain as he tries to stay warm and dry.

An angel gives the order to find Cas and destroy him, and Dean later tells Sam that they need to find their former angel buddy. Cas remarks that human beings are fragile, but it seems that his life is not completely terrible, as another scene shows him in a lip lock with, presumably, his new love interest played by Shannon Lucio.

Finally, Cas is in an abandoned bus and an angel finds him, surprised that Castiel is now human. Cas promptly stabs the angel and the usual glowing light of angel death ensues. So it seems that he has still maintained his warrior skills despite his lack of heavenly mojo.

Though Sam continues to insist that he is feeling good — going so far as to go running at sunrise and get Dean a fatty breakfast — Dean is still hesitant to believe his brother is fine after sitting at what should have been his deathbed.

However, Sam’s eyes flash blue and Ezekiel takes over to assure Dean that Sam is actually feeling better because he is healing from within, thanks to Ezekiel’s presence.

Interestingly, Ezekiel takes over Sam while he is still conscious in this clip; in the previous episode, Ezekiel took control of Sam’s body when the younger Winchester was unconscious. Ezekiel assured Dean that Sam wouldn’t remember it happening because he was out cold, so what does that mean for a conscious Sam? And if Ezekiel is constantly surfacing to speak to Dean, what does that do for Dean’s guilt about the whole situation?

The synopsis for Supernatural season 9, episode 3 “I’m No Angel” reads: CASTIEL IS HUNTED BY THE ANGELS — Ezekiel tells Dean (Jensen Ackles) a group of angels is hunting Castiel (Misha Collins). Dean and Sam (Jared Padalecki) race to find their friend before the angels do. Meanwhile, a homeless Castiel is trying to make his way through the city and comes across some unexpected surprises.
