"The Walking Dead" season 4 will be premiering tonight on AMC at 9p.m. ET.
The new season will kick off where it left off on the season 3 finale, which drew a massive audience of 12.4 million viewers.
The official synopsis for "The Walking Dead" season 4 episodes 1-4 are as follows:
Episode 1 "30 Days Without an Accident": "The group lives an ideal life at the prison, and strives to hold onto humanity."
Episode 2 "Infected": "The group faces a new enemy; Rick and the others fight to protect their hard-won livelihood."
Episode 3 "Isolation": "A group leaves the prison to search for supplies; the remaining members of the group deal with recent losses."
Episode 4 "Indifference": "The supply mission faces hurdles; the situation at the prison worsens."

The new season will welcome actor Josh McDermitt as Dr. Eugene Porter.
Showrunner Scott Gimple recently told The Hollywood Reporter: "We're going to tell a version of the Eugene, Abraham and Rosita comic stories, that's what we do.. We're going to get to those characters in a bit but before that, we're going to be exploring a lot of different locations." He continued, "We're at the prison the first two episodes. We start looking at other places in Episode 3 on but that isn't even tied with them yet."
The premiere episode will introduce the new threat, and new romances are expected to blossom in the new season.
"The Walking Dead" is an American horror drama television series developed by Frank Darabont based on the comic book series by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard.
The season 3 finale of the show was the most-watched series telecast in basic cable history.
