THE Governor General has approved the promotion of 106 senior police officers.
Commissioner of Police Ellison Greenslade announced that the promotions were carried out in accordance with Article 119 (5) of the Constitution and after consultation with Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham and the Police Service Commission.
As a result of the exercise, there are now 19 new superintendents, 42 new assistant superintendents and 45 new inspectors.
