Alexandria's voice shines

ALEXANDRIA Rolle, of Garvin Tynes Primary School, emerged as the victor of the Voices of Hope Championship Speech Competition. Voices of Hope is a national speech competition organised by the Department of Education's Religious Studies Unit. Students advanced to the finals of the competition after winning preliminary rounds on their home island or education district. Nine students from New Providence, Grand Bahama, Abaco and Andros spoke on the topic, "Unlock the Keys to Good Character." Alexandria, a nine-year-old student in the fifth grade, was named the winner after judges completed difficult deliberations. Second place went to Stephanie Rahming, of Mabel Walker Primary.
