ANGLICAN CHURCH HONOURS MOTHERS

THE Anglican Diocese of the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands celebrated "Mothering Sunday" last week with a parade. Mothering Sunday is celebrated on the fourth Sunday in the Lenten season and commemorates Mother's Day in England. Activities leading up to Mothering Sunday includes Christian Education week, where all children of the Anglican Diocese gather at one place to have Sunday School. On the actual day, the Anglican church holds an annual procession. Mother's Day in the Bahamas is celebrated on second sunday in May.
