D'Shon signs intent letter to play ball at John Brown University

D'SHON Taylor, a 6-6 forward from New Providence, has signed a national letter of intent to play men's basketball at John Brown University in the next school year. "We are so excited to add D'Shon to our programme," said coach Clark Sheehy, head of men's basketball. "We feel like he has the academic background as well as the athletic ability to be a real asset to our programme. We are looking forward to getting him here next fall." Taylor, a product of RM Bailey Senior High School, averaged 23 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists per game during his senior season at RM Bailey. During that time, he helped RM Bailey win the Government Secondary School Sports Association (GSSSA) 2011 High School Basketball Championship. He also led his team to a championship title in the Bahamas' National Hugh Campbell Basketball Tournament, which features the top private and public high school teams in the Bahamas. Taylor, the son of Olga Hebpurn, earned All-Tournament honours for both events. He plans to major in electrical engineering. To find out more about JBU athletics, visit www.jbu.edu/athletics/
