THE National Darts Association Men's Gold Cup trial tournament took place last weekend. Thirty-six participants took part at various locations including Charlie's on East Bay, Waterloo on East Bay and Conch Hill (next to Sir Charles Hotel) on East Street South. The top five men from each location advanced to the finals at Waterloo. In the end, Christian Knowles took top honors, followed by Sky Bain, Harry Brown, Rashad Sweeting, Donald Burrows, Victor Cartwright, Alonzo Rolle and Mike Rolle Sr. Those top eight men, ranked by points, will represent Nassau in the Bahamas Dart Association Gold Cup Tournament. The top nine men and the top 5 ladies (includes 1 male and 1 female substitute) qualify for the NDA Gold Cup Team and will represent Nassau in the Bahamas Dart Federation Gold Cup Tournament to be held on 10th & 11th February 2012 in Nassau.
