How will my furniture look with it? Will my husband and kids like it? What does it look like at night when it's dark outside? Well, there are five main paint colors that you cannot fail with. I know when most hear the term 'neutral' you think boring, blah, beige. But there are 10 neutrals in a color wheel list and they are far from boring. They will make your room stand out and hit just the right design itch you have been trying to scratch. Fab Five Neutral Paint Colors: 1. Calming Pale Blue: "Upward" Sherwin-Williams #6239 - not your typical 'baby boy' blue. This color is a refreshing, gorgeous icy blue that contrasts well with crisp white fabrics and soft tan accents. It is perfect for a calming bedroom. 2. Terrific Tan: "Universal Khaki" Sherwin Williams #6150 - do not let tan deter you from being beautiful. It is the most warm and rich color that works well with all sorts of patterns and color groups in a room. 'Universal' is most definitely the correct fit for this color, works well in family or living rooms. 3. Solid Gold: "Convivial Yellow" Sherwin-Williams #6393 - Yes yellow, one of the colours in our country's flag, portrays pride and strength, but no use using just any yellow inside your home. Where you want to feel calm and soothing, Convivial Yellow is a serene yellow that stands out in a kitchen or entry way. It can tie other colors together, instead of fighting with them. It is cheery enough without being too much, and goes great when paired with white or black furniture. 4. Serene Cream: "Natural Cream" Benjamin Moore #OC-105 - looking for something nice and neutral? This cream has enough depth in it to stand out against white trim and accents. Use it in a bedroom where you have several neutrals; it will tie all together, creating your own sanctuary space. 5. Go-To Green: "Ancient Marble" Sherwin-Williams #6162 - this color and myself have gone a long way together. It always pulls through for me when in a design dilemma. It just works with almost any and everything. Just when you think you are never going to find the right color, Ancient Marble pulls through. I have paired this with dark woods and chocolate fabrics and white kitchens and walnut wood floors. It always looks fresh and modern when paired with white.
