PLP Garden Hills election candidate Dr Kendal VO Major was yesterday recuperating in hospital after surgery.
His family yesterday told The Tribune that Dr Major was faced with a medical issue on March 30, which meant he had to be in hospital.
After an initial assessment, it was determined that a surgical procedure was necessary, according to a statement released by Monique Major, his wife.
Dr Major, pictured, underwent successful surgery on March 31, and was yesterday recuperating in hospital. He was expected to make a full recovery and it was not anticipated that the medical procedure would negatively impact on his candidacy.
His doctors and the family are prohibiting visitors in the short term. The family asks that Dr Major be kept in persons' prayers.
