Agencies moving in to new $18m site

FREEPORT - Several government agencies have started relocating to the new $18 million government complex on Mall Drive.

The Immigration Department, Customs Department, and Passport Office have taken up offices in the new complex.

The Passport Office is now located on the second and third floors of the building.

The new complex in Freeport has been described as the single largest investment by the government in Grand Bahama.

Work commenced on the building in February 2010 and was completed this year, ahead of schedule.

Donald Dean was the architect and FES Construction was the contractor.
