EDITOR, The Tribune.
IS IT just me or has anyone else noticed the sudden increase in recent weeks in the number of "Notices" in our local papers for persons who are being considered for naturalisation/citizenship?
I counted six on page A6 of The Nassau Guardian and 13 on pages 6B and 7B of the Business Section of The Tribune, both dated today, March 21st.
Why the sudden increase just before the general elections?
Have these persons been thoroughly checked as to how they gained entry into our country or are we still going with the age-old excuse that "dey been here long time" or are they the children of illegal who now have the right to apply at 18 "cuz dey born here an dis the only country dey know"?
Bahamians, we need to wake up. Are out politicians continuing to rape the system for votes?
