THE murder count for 2012 now stands at 34 after a man was gunned down in New Providence.
It happened at around 9.40pm last night at John Street, between Market and East Streets.
Two men, aged 49 and 39 were shot. The 49-year-old received an injury to the leg and was taken to hospital via EMS personnel. His condition was described as stable.
The 39-year-old received an injury to the back and was taken to hospital via a private vehicle. He died of his injuries.
The murder comes after a man was found in Miami Street with a gunshot injury on Good Friday and a man was shot and killed in Grand Bahama over Easter.
Police are also probing a separate shooting that occurred around 8pm on Tuesday.
Reports said a 26-year-old man of Claridge Road was at Peardale along with others when he was approached by a man and subsequently shot.
The victim was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where his condition was described as stable.
