FREEPORT - Two men are in police custody in connection with a recent armed robbery and murder on Grand Bahama.

Police are still searching for a third man also wanted for questioning.

Asst Supt Loretta Mackey, press liaison officer, said a 25-year-old male resident of Freeport surrendered to police at Central Police Station around 1.45pm on Tuesday.

She said that a second man, 19-year-old Drexton Dominique Belony, later turned himself in around 9 o'clock that evening.

Belony, a Haitian-Bahamian, was accompanied to Central Police Station by a group of persons, including community youth leader Dudley Seide.

Mr Seide said the young man, in fear for his life, came to him for help.

"I didn't want any more blood shed," Mr Seide told a ZNS news team which accompanied them to the station on Tuesday evening.

Mr Seide, founder of Outreach Ministry, said his organisation is about helping all young men.

"When a man says he fears for his life, whether accused or not, my thing is to turn him in. He called on me and I prayed about it," he said.

In the meantime, Ms Mackey said police are continuing to appeal to the public for information concerning the whereabouts of 39-year-old Raymond Tyrone Hudson, of No. 49 Bayberry Lane.

Hudson is described as being 5'8"- 5'11' tall of thin build. He weighs about 150 - 175lbs, has medium brown complexion, and black, low haircut.

He is considered armed and extremely dangerous. Person should contact police at 911 or 919.
