THE BODY of an elderly woman was found floating in Nassau Harbour early yesterday morning.

Details are still sketchy but police say the partially decomposed body was discovered just under the new Paradise Island bridge around 9am.

Superintendent Paul Rolle, officer in charge of Central Detective Unit, said the body was transported to the morgue for an autopsy but at this point, foul play is not suspected.

He is appealing to any members of the public who may not have seen an elderly female relative for a few days to contact police by calling 911 or 919, or visiting the nearest police station.
