Easter at the Nazareth Centre

AS everyone around the nation celebrated Easter traditionally or in their own special way, the management and staff of the Medical Pavilion Bahamas wanted to ensure that the children of the Nazareth Centre located in Millennium Gardens, were also included in the celebration of Easter.

They held an Easter Egg Hunt and Fun Day for the children at the centre. While there, they reiterated the reason for celebrating Easter by telling the story of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The staff also engaged the children with creating their own Happy Easter pop-up card, providing lunch and holding an Easter egg hunt. Each child was given an Easter treat box filled with books and crayons, toys and assorted candies. After all, what is Easter to children without the sweets and treats?

The management and staff said they are dedicated to ensuring that they help to remember the children centres, especially during holiday seasons.

The Nazareth Centre was established to provide temporary shelter for children in need of care and protection. The centre currently provides 24 hour care for children ranging from infancy to eleven years old. Currently, there are 46 being cared for at the centre.
