THE Atlantic Medical Fun Run/Walk 2012 was a tremendous success according to organisers.
More than 2,000 walkers and runners from all walks of life participated in the event, now in its 14th year.
Companies and corporations competed for the award, "Entity with the most participants". This year, the trophy went to BTC.
Over the years, the Atlantic Medical Insurance event has come to be known as the most successful run/walk in the country, raising a combined $200,000 for the Diabetes Association and the Cancer Society.
The event has become a part of the social calendar for families and exercise fanatics alike.
