MINISTER of State in the Ministry of Finance Michael Halkitis has launched his Golden Isles Kids Summer Camp.
According to Mr Halkitis, the “fun and exciting camp” is aims to provide an opportunity for children 5-12 years old to beat the heat and stay sharp this summer with fun and creative activities.
The minister said he hopes to inspire creativity, exercise imaginations and educate participants about culture through organised field-trips throughout the island.
The programme is offered Monday to Friday, 9am – 2pm.
“This character building programme provides our students the opportunity to learn in a fun, imaginative and supportive environment,” said Jenika Knowles, programme director.
“Led by a talented and experienced staff of volunteers, our diverse summer offerings meet the interests and ability levels of all our participants – whether they are pre-school students or just entering their secondary level, we have the qualifications to expand their skills and interests.”
