A 26-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital today after being shot while allegedly attempting to rob another man.
Shortly before 1am on Monday, a man told police, he was standing outside his Ramsey Street home off Carmichael Road when he was approached by the victim, who was armed with a cutlass.
A struggle ensued and as a result the victim was shot in the upper body.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance where he is listed in critical condition.
Police investigations continue.
