Partnership deal for group

THE Council for Concerned Bahamians Abroad has announced it is partnering with the Caribbean Trade Centre to promote Bahamian trade and tourism.

This comes as the CTC is implementing major plans to market and expose Caribbean trade and tourism to US and Canadian government agencies and businesses.

The CTC and its partner organisations have planned a series of trade related events beginning with the Caribbean Trade Centre’s second annual Travel, Trade and Tourism Business Showcase which will be held on Thursday August 23 at the Firefighters Memorial Building in Doral, Florida.

The Business Showcase will feature country presentations, cultural insights, exhibits, and exclusive networking opportunities.

Participants will include guest presenters Jennifer Carroll, Lt Governor for the State of Florida; and Louise Leger, Consul General for Canada in Miami.

Those in attendance will include Juan Carlos Bermudez, Mayor of the City of Doral; Jose “Pepe” Diaz, Miami-Dade County Commissioner – District 12; Dr Anil Ramnanan, Consul General – Trinidad and Tobago; Francois Guillaume III, Consul General of Haiti; Rhoda Jackson, Consul General of the Bahamas; Dale Holness, Broward County Commissioner – District 9; and other county and city leaders.

The Council for Concerned Bahamians Abroad has several ongoing projects under its Tourism, Business, and Investments Bring It Home Initiatives (BIHI), designed to assist Bahamian based businesses and economic development projects.
