FOUR Walls Down, a non-profit organisation created by young people to serve orphans across New Providence, will be hosting ‘Addiction’ – the first Christian rave party Nassau has ever seen.

The event is being organised in conjunction with Fam Records and a number of private individuals, and will take place tonight at the Potential Church on JFK Drive.

Some of the proceeds from the party will go toward funding the work of the organisation, headed by gospel artist Keith ‘Halle’ Gray.

Party-goers will have the opportunity to learn more about the charity and sign up to donate toward or volunteer with the group.

Mr Gray, along with the rest of his team – including Deangelo Brown, Sherell King, Dali Brown, Tyreno Pratt, Nadira Williamson, Enrico Bain, Deangelo Rolle, Leonardo Todd, and Nykia Joshep – visit local children’s homes, doing housework and maintenance on buildings and providing the children with hours of positive fun.

For a little less than a year, Four Walls Down has been working with charities including the Children’s Emergency Hostel, hoping to make a difference.

Until now, the charity has been funded mostly by Mr Gray’s earnings from his performances.

The group hopes this event will bring attention to their cause and help garner more support.

Mr Gray said at the moment, “it’s pretty much me using my music ministry to get money from churches and organisations where I minister, then we go to different charities and we do whatever we can to serve and show love. Sometimes we paint, clean up, do laundry or hold events for the kids, then give them a cheque from the donations we made.”

He said Addiction promises to be “an awesome time” for young people with acts by some of the country’s best local artists including, Najie Dunn, Gospel Boys, and Halle, over beats ranging from hip hop to techno and dubstep. There will be free glow sticks, prize giveaways, and energy drinks. The doors open at 7pm and admission is $5 in advance and $7 at the door.
