PM's wife takes spotlight to help Salvation Army

BERNADETTE Christie helped bring the holiday cheer to Bay Street yesterday, when she played a number of holiday tunes on the saxophone in aid of the Salvation Army’s efforts to raise money for the less fortunate.

Her husband, Prime Minister Perry Christie, joined her to watch her performance.

Playing along with her was police officer Teddy Russell, who has been teaching Mrs Christie to play the instrument over the last three months.

Mrs Christie has been a supporter of the Salvation Army for many years.
