A 31-year old male is in custody assisting police with investigations into a shooting incident that occurred on Christmas Day.

According to police reports, shortly before 10:30am a man was involved in an argument with two men at West and Brougham Streets, when he was shot in the left thigh by one of the men. The two men then fled on foot. The victim was taken to hospital and is detained in stable condition. The victim's injury is non-life threatening.

Moments later, police arrested one of the suspects in connection with this matter. They are seeking the other suspect.

PEDESTRIAN STRUCK AND KILLED BY MOTORIST

Police are investigating the death of a man who was hit by a vehicle on Zion Boulevard on Christmas Day.

According to police reports, the victim, who has not been identified, was killed when he was hit by a truck that was traveling east on Zion Boulevard.

A 29-year-old motorist, was arrested on the scene, and is assisting officers from the RBPF Traffic Division with their investigations into this matter.
