Man fights for life after car accident

A MAN is fighting for his life in hospital after being involved in a car accident Tuesday evening.

The incident reportedly occurred shortly after 6pm and involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Police say the driver of a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was travelling east on the East West Highway when the accident occurred.

The pedestrian received serious injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he is listed in critical condition.

Active police investigations continue.

Police are also investigating a stabbing incident that has a left a 19-year-old man in hospital.

The incident occurred around 10pm Tuesday.

Police say the victim was at Margaret Avenue, Miller Heights when he got into an altercation with another man and was stabbed.

The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance where he is listed in serious but stable condition. Active police investigations continue.

The country’s latest homicide victim has been identified as Ricardo Rolle.

Rolle died after being “chopped” multiple times in the back of his head.

Police say the victim got into an altercation on Monday with a man he knew in Curtis Town, Exuma.

Police have a 23-year-old man in custody, who is assisting them with their investigations.

Rolle became the country’s 69th murder victim for the year.
