THE man accused of committing the 69th homicide of the year was arraigned in the magistrates’ court on Friday.

John Livingston Williams, 22, of Curtis Town, Exuma, appeared in Court One to face one charge of murder in connection with an incident in which a relative of his was killed.

It is claimed that on Monday, July 2, he killed Ricardo Rolle, also of Curtis Town.

Williams was not required to enter a plea to the charge due to the nature of the offence.

He is ineligible to be considered for bail by the magistrates’ court and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison until completion of his trial in the Supreme Court.

The accused returns to magistrates’ court on November 2, where he will be served with a Voluntary Bill of Indictment.
