Body of man found floating near jet ski on Adelaide Beach

POLICE are investigating the suspected drowning of a man whose body was discovered floating near a jet-ski on Adelaide Beach.

According to a witnesses, the victim – identified as Brian Deal of Adelaide Village – was alone on the jet-ski at around 7.30pm on Tuesday.

A short time later, Deal was seen floating near the vehicle, and good samaritans swam out to him, pulling him ashore and administering CPR until paramedics arrived.

The man was taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition, but died soon after.

Police also reported that they have a 17-year-old of Coconut Grove is in custody after the discovery of a handgun and ammunition.

Responding to reports of gunshots in the Wilson Tract area just after 11pm on Monday, officers saw three men in a car acting suspiciously.

When they saw police, the men sped off, crashing into another car at the intersection of Palm Beach Street and Wulff Road.
