TWO Higgs & Johnson attorneys have attended the Annual Litigation Forum hosted by the International Bar Association (IBA).
Partner and head of litigation, Oscar N. Johnson, along with Tara Archer, partner and chair of the IBA's Consumer Litigation Committee , attended the forum entitled Multi-jurisdictional Disputes: The View From Inside The Corporation, held in New York from May 9-11, 2012.
Jed Rakoff, US District Judge for the Southern District of New York, was the keynote speaker at the conference dinner.
Mr Johnson said: "The sessions were timely, informative and proved to be very worthwhile, as they highlighted current issues that affect our litigation clients. It was an excellent opportunity to gain insight from professionals in other jurisdictions, as well as share on what is happening within our jurisdiction."
Mr Johnson and Mrs Archer practice a full range of corporate and commercial law, specialising in commercial and civil litigation, merchant shipping and admiralty law, insurance, international finance, employment law and insolvency law.
