A 23-year-old man appeared in magistrates court yesterday to face a murder charge.
Axanthio Patrick Thompson of Sea Breeze Lane appeared before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez as the particulars of the capital offence were read to him.
It is claimed that Thompson murdered 23-year-old Aaron Hepburn on Wednesday, May 30.
On the night in question, Hepburn, of Stewfish Drive, Carmichael Road, was shot and killed after being approached by a gunman in First Street, The Grove.
Thompson was not required to enter a plea to the charge against him and was remanded to prison without bail.
Thompson's case is being forwarded to the Supreme Court for trial through a Voluntary Bill of Indictment.
