TWO teenagers became victims during a weekend mired in bloodshed and violence - one of them becoming the country’s latest murder victim.
Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the persons responsible for the murder of a 16-year-old on Saturday evening.
It happened at around 8pm when police were tipped off about gunshots being heard in the area of Quakoo Street, between Market and East streets.
Shortly afterwards, the boy was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds about his body.
Police are uncertain of the circumstances surrounding this shooting and are asking for members of the public who may have any information to contact them.
Meanwhile, hours earlier on the same day, a 16-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment after being stabbed repeatedly about his body.
Officers were on patrol in the area of East Street and Andros Avenue around 2pm that afternoon when they came upon the boy.
He was taken to the hospital by ambulance and his condition was last night listed as stable. A 17-year-old boy is being questioned in connection with the stabbing, as police inquiries continue.
Officers are also investigating another police-involved shooting that left a 32-year-old man of White’s Subdivision, Kemp Road in hospital.
This shooting happened at around 3.40am on Saturday during a reported response to a shop-breaking incident in Jerome Avenue.
The suspect was taken to hospital for treatment, where he was yesterday stabilised and in police custody.

The murder victum is reported to be a young father....
And a 16 and 17 yea old stabbing each othr ovr a dice game gone bad.
I think that we all can see what our problems with tackeling crime are in this country.

See where we as Bahamians go wrong. The police are asking for assistance, yet if you just post a comment here, would that be of any help. Yet we want to say gees this boy out of police custody already. You think that we all can see what our problems with tackeling crime are in this country. My observation in it is that people with evidence just perfer to gossip it 'meaningless' instead of assisting the police. Remember whenever the accused is back out on the streets, you (those with info but choose not to call a crime hotline) help him be out. Thumbs down.
