The perfect check list

WE have become so advanced that we have moved away from the basics.

Every now and again it is good to revisit where we started.

A few weeks ago while I was at work, a gentlemen came in and made a very important point. He was talking about how we rely on our minds to remember everything, when we should help ourselves by writing things down.

I can testify to the fact that I rely on my brain when I know that I should be writing things down. Writing things down helps us in remembering important things, like a grocery list, or errands to run.

It is the same way we can have a check list for our lives. The reference we use to check our lives is the bible. What are the things that we check with the word of God? We check character with the fruits of the spirit. We check the way we pray, without ceasing the bible says. We check our love for one another because the bible says that we are our brother's keeper. We check how we treat people because we are to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. We check our behaviour towards our parents; the bible says we are to honor them and obey them.

Parents you are to check how you raised your children; the word of God says they must be raised in the fear and admonish of him and do not provoke them to wrath.

Most importantly we check our obedience to God. Meaning we are to do whatever God tells us to do.

We can not afford to think that because we have been saved for awhile that we do not have to check with the word of God for guidance in our lives. The bible is our check list to use as a reference in our lives.

It is the best check list that we could ever have. It assists us in living daily. Let us check our lives with a perfect check list.
