Three quizzed over man's shooting

THREE men are being questioned over the shooting of a man who was later in a car crash as he was being rushed to hospital.

The shooting took place at about 9pm on Tuesday.

Initial police reports indicate the victim was at Step Street, in Fox Hill, when he got into an argument with another man and was shot multiple times in his body.

The victim, a man believed to be in his early twenties, was rushed to hospital by car, but the car was in collision with another vehicle on Shirley Street outside Doctors Hospital, which also saw a power line struck by one of the vehicles in the collision. Neither driver was seriously injured in the crash, and another car took the shooting victim on to Princess Margaret Hospital, where he is described to be in serious, but stable condition.

Investigations continue.
