Man held over two shootings

A man believed to be responsible for two separate shootings on Sunday has been turned into police by a family member.

The first incident reportedly occurred shortly after 11:00 pm at East Street and Coconut Grove.

Preliminary reports indicate that a male and female were walking on East Street when they were approached by the occupants of a black vehicle.

It is reported that gunshots were fired which resulted in the male receiving pellet injuries to the arm and leg. The female was unharmed.

The second incident occurred around 11:20 pm at Alexandria Boulevard, Nassau Village and resulted in a male receiving pellet injuries to the arm and leg.

Both persons are detained in hospital in stable condition.

The suspect, a 27-year-old male of Nassau Village was handed over to police around 12:20am on Monday.
