DESPITE inclement weather, the Wine, Art, and Jazz Festival "turned out a success", said organisers.

The festival which was presented by the Burns House Group, took place over the weekend. Organisers said they were pleased with how the event went and are looking forward to hosting it again next year.

"Considering what the weather was like we had a very good turnout. We appreciated the effort of all of the vendors, the artists, and performers. We want to thank everyone that made the event what it was over the weekend. We are looking forward to the event next year and are excited to work with the artists and performers again," said AnnMarie Romer, consumer intelligence manager at Burns House.

Attendees were entertained by Miami-based jazz artist Jon Saxx, who delighted the crowd with his two-hour performance. There were other performances by the Illest Reggae Band, Kim Welcome Band, Snuki Miller, G-Note, Caribah and Gawain Clarke.

"The Jazz festival was a winning combination of arts. There were different forms of art on display at the event. There were sculptors, and vendors displaying handmade craft work. Some of them also sold Androsia print and many other beautiful pieces," said Ms Romer.

Attendees also got the opportunity to taste 30 varieties of wine, including Lamothe Parrot Mellow Reserve White, Veuve Clicquot, Robert Mondavi, Santa Margaherita and others.
