FREEPORT – A 37-year-old woman has been charged with harbouring a criminal.
Chandria Ewing appeared before magistrate Gwen Claude in Eight Mile Rock magistrates’ court yesterday.
She pleaded not guilty to harbouring suspect Garin Lukin Gibson, who is wanted for armed robbery.
Gibson was spotted in the Jones Town area on Wednesday evening and fired on police.
There was an exchange of gunfire and he fled into nearby bushes, leaving his vehicle behind.
Police subsequently took a woman into custody.
The case was adjourned and Ewing was remanded in custody until November 13 for summary trial in the magistrates’ court.
