Two women stabbed

POLICE are on the hunt for three men responsible for attacking two women in two separate incidents over the weekend. The latest incident occurred around 5pm on Saturday.

According to reports, the woman was at her home on Bougainvillea Avenue when she was approached by two men, one known to her.

The men reportedly robbed the woman of an undisclosed amount of money and two computers before stabbing her and fleeing on foot.

The woman was taken to hospital where her condition is unknown at this time.

In the second incident, around 4pm on Friday, police say a woman was in the area of Willow Tree Avenue and Breadfruit Street, Pinewood Gardens with a group of men when they were approached by a man armed with a handgun.

The suspect reportedly stole the woman’s Toyota Fore Runner along with an assortment of jewellery and cash before fleeing the area in the stolen vehicle.

A short time later, the vehicle was discovered in the area of Sapodilla Boulevard, Pinewood Gardens.

Active police investigations continue in both matters.

Police are also seeking the public assistance in locating a man responsible for an armed robbery.

According to police reports shortly after 6pm on Saturday a phone card vendor was at the intersection of East Street and Wulff Road, when he was approached by a man armed with a handgun.

The suspect reportedly robbed the vendor of an undisclosed amount of money and cell phone cards before fleeing the area north on East Street.

Police are investigating and appealing to members of the public who might have information on this incident to contact them at 911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.
