Police hunt attackers

POLICE are on the hunt for three men responsible for attacking two women in two separate incidents over the weekend.

The first incident occurred around 4pm on Saturday.

According to reports, a woman was leaving a business place on Yamacraw Hill Road when she was approached by two  men one of whom was armed with a handgun and the other a knife.

The men robbed the woman of her white 1998 Honda Accord and gun butted her before fleeing the area in an unknown direction.

She was taken to hospital where she was treated and discharged.

The second incident occurred around 8 pm on Saturday outside a residence in eastern New Providence.

Police say a woman on arriving at her Brigadoon Estates home was approached by a man armed with a handgun.

The man robbed her of her white Ford Explorer Tract L/P 143217 that contained a deposit bag with an undetermined amount of money, in addition to her handbag. He the area.

Police are investigating both matters and are appealing to any member of the public who might have any information about either of these incidents to contact them.

Police are also advising members of the public who conduct monetary business transactions regularly to be vigilant and always on the alert, pay attention to individuals or vehicles lurking in the vicinity of your business, home or wherever you conduct your business transactions.

They are also asking members of the public not to carry large sums of money on them and to be careful with whom they discuss their finances.
