LAST WEEK on X Factor USA, the top ten contestants performed songs that were dedicated to loved ones in honour of Thanksgiving.

Like every week, there were some that were impressing and there were others that were not very entertaining.

Contestants Carly Rose Sonenclar, Arin Ray, Beatrice Miller, CeCe Frey, Paige Thomas, Emblem3, Fifth Harmony, Vino Alan, Tate Stevens and Diamond White gave their all.

One of the most unforgettable performances was Diamond’s. Singing a heartfelt rendition of “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion, Diamond received a standing ovation from audience members. X Factor judges, Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell, L A Reid and Britney Spear, gave positive feedback as well.

“Diamond you’ve had many amazing moments, but you’ve never had a moment like that baby,” L A told her. Demi followed by saying: “This song, it means a lot to me. I totally related. The fact that you gave your heart and soul, I’m blown away.”

During the elimination show on Thursday, the contestants were joined on stage with an international school choir to sing along. Cher Lloyd also had a guest performance.

The unlucky contestant to be sent home with the lowest score was Arin Ray. Contestants Beatrice Miller and CeCe Frey had to sing for survival. Cece sang Kelly Clarkson’s “Because of You,” and Beatrice took on Dido’s “White Flag.” At the end of the night, Cece held on to her spot.
